Does the Shelving System need to be attached to a wall?Updated a year ago

We highly recommend placing the Shelving System against a wall and securing the Tall Shelving Units with the wall anchor kit provided to help prevent serious injuries from furniture tip-overs. The risk of serious injury due to furniture tip-over is reduced with the Short Shelving Unit because it is under 35 inches, but the risk is not eliminated. We also recommend placing the Short Shelving Unit against the wall and encourage you to be mindful of placing these units in a safe area for all members of your home.To further reduce the risk of furniture tip-overs:Place heaviest items on the lowest shelves.Do not set TVs or other heavy objects on the top of the Shelving System.Never allow children to climb or hang on the Shelving System. All Tall Shelving and Expansion Units come with a wall anchor kit. Remember, this is especially important in homes with young children or pets. You can find instructions for installing the wall anchor system in the instruction manual. The wall anchor kit is in compliance with ASTM F3096-14, the standard performance specification for tip-over restraints. Note that the use of tip-over restraints may only reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of tip-over.
