Are variations in the wood grain and color of my panels normal?

Yes! Wood is a natural material, so it is expected for each panel to have slight color, texture, and grain variations. That is intentional.&#xA0;We use real wood veneer in the construction of all our Floyd products. With any natural product, a variation in color is expected &#x2014; you can see differences based on the species of tree, the forest it came from, even the time of year it was harvested! We&#x2019;ve developed a color spectrum for all of our wood products, so while your panels may not come from the same place (and may have a different tone), we know they&apos;ll look great together.&#xA0;We designed Floyd to last a lifetime and encourage you to grow with your products, allowing them to take on a new form as you need them. Once a King Bed for your bachelor pad is now two Twins for your twins. As a note, we cannot guarantee color matching over the life of your Floyd but we don&#x2019;t think Mother Nature really makes mistakes.

Can I exchange my current panels for another finish?

While we do not facilitate exchanges, you can purchase panels for any size Bed Frame by visiting our Bed Panels page. If you are not happy with your Bed Panels and wish to purchase another style, you can return your Bed Panels within 30 days of delivery in accordance with our return policy.

The panels are constructed with a honeycomb core, allowing them to be lightweight without compromising their strength.

How are the Bed panels constructed?

Can I alter my panels, either by refinishing or cutting them?

We do not recommend altering your panels. They are UV sealed with a light clear coat, and are not solid wood throughout. Cutting, sanding or rounding them will damage their structural integrity and void the warranty.

The Bed panels are produced to meet the highest government standards for VOC off-gassing. There is very little off-gassing if any at all.

Do the panels off-gas VOCs or chemicals?

I have a Full mattress — can I use it with the Bed Frame?

While we don&apos;t make a Bed Frame specific to a Full mattress, you can absolutely put a Full mattress on our Full/Queen Bed Frame, and many customers do! With a Full mattress, you will just see a bit more of the panels! A Full mattress will not work on our Twin Bed Frame unfortunately.

Does the King Bed Frame work with a California King mattress?

The King Bed Frame without the Headboard is 89&#x201D; wide and 86&quot; deep &#x2014; definitely big enough for a California King mattress. With the addition of the Headboard however, the depth of the King Bed Frame cannot accommodate a California King mattress. The Headboard causes the mattress to sit just a bit further away from the wall and can cause your California King mattress to hang over at the foot of the Bed. For this reason, we do not recommend pairing a California King mattress with our King Bed Frame with Headboard.

Can I change the size of my Bed Frame, and if so, how do I do that?

Yes! The Bed Frame is meant to be modular, so that&apos;s exactly what we&apos;re hoping you&apos;ll do! Here are the following combinations you&apos;ll need:&#xA0;Twin &#x2192; Queen :&#xA0;2 Middle Supports + 1 PanelQueen &#x2192; King :&#xA0;2 Middle Supports + 1 PanelTwin &#x2192; King:&#xA0;4 Middle Supports + 2 Panels&#xA0;You can purchase these components with our <a href="https://floydhome.com/products/the-floyd-bed-expansion-kit?variant=36820555759778">Expansion Kit</a>.If you find that you need to reduce the size of your Bed (like from a King to a Queen), simply reverse the processes above. Just know that if you have a King Headboard, it will look oversized if you downgrade to a Queen and you may want to purchase a <a href="https://floydhome.com/products/the-floyd-headboard?variant=37546893148322">Queen Headboard</a> instead.&#xA0;

The weight of your mattress, coupled with your body weight, prevents most mattresses from sliding on the Bed. However, if you find your mattress slipping, we recommend placing a rug pad, cut to size, between your mattress and the Bed Frame to ensure there is enough friction to keep your mattress firmly in place!

Will my mattress slide around?

Can my mattress breathe on the Bed Frame?

Unless you live in an incredibly humid climate, there&apos;s no need to worry about your mattress breathing. While the Bed Frame does not allow for as much air supply to your mattress as a traditional slatted frame, this should not be an issue &#x2014; be sure to clean up any spills from the mattress and panels, along with any other moisture that may accumulate.If you do live in a humid climate or space, we recommend that you use a dehumidifier to ensure you are providing the proper environment for the longevity of your Bed. Can I increase the height of the Bed Frame?

No, we do not recommend increasing the height of your Bed Frame. There is no way to do this without compromising its structural integrity.

Can the Bed Frame withstand intense action ;) ?

We know what you are thinking, and yes, the Bed Frame can withstand lots of action and will not make a sound.&#xA0;

Can the Bed Frame withstand a lot of ... activity?

After setting up the straps, open the ratchet until it stops (3 clicks). Feed the strap through the slot in the middle of the ratchet, from the back to the front. Pull the strap all the way through, then crank the ratchet back &amp; forth until the strap is tight.To release the straps, hold down the release bar; the spring bar on the longer side of the ratchet, and open the ratchet all the way until it stops. Pull the strap down and away from the ratchet until it loosens.

How do I use the ratchet straps?

My ratchet strap is too long. What do I do?

If you have excess length after setting up your Bed Frame, you can wrap it around the strap itself or cut it off with scissors &#x2014; be sure to leave a bit of length to make re-assembling in the future easier.

To release the strap, hold down the release bar; the spring bar on the longer side of the ratchet, and open the ratchet all the way until it stops. Pull the strap down and away from the ratchet until it loosens.
