No! All of the wood components of the Sofa meet the TSCA Title VI and CARB Phase II standards for off-gassing. The foam used in the cushions of the Sofa is below regulatory standards for VOC emissions and is in full compliance with ISO 14184-1:2011.Our Sofa is free of chemical flame retardants and the fabric is in full conformance with California Proposition 65. Similar to Patagonia's Durable Water Repellent, we chose a shorter-chain C6 fluorocarbon-based treatment because it breaks down faster over time and is less harmful to the environment.
