Details & Questions - The Sink Down SectionalUpdated 10 months ago
What materials is the Sink Down Sectional made of?
The frame is constructed from plywood and engineered wood with solid joints. A flat-spring suspension and pillow top cushion of memory foam and blown fiber create an ultra-comfortable seat.
The Sectional is available in 3 upholstery options:
- A performance fabric
- A sustainable woven linen look
- Kvadrat two-tone recycled fabric.
Visit The Sink Down Sectional page for additional material details.
Are the Sink Down cushions reversible?
With a little muscle! Pillow top seat cushions can be reversible if a customer unzips the fabric cover, flips the insert, and places it back in the cover. This will allow you to sit on the blown fiber, not the memory foam.
Back cushions are loose and can be reversible.
Arm cushions are loose but have a side zipper that does not allow them to be reversible.
Do I need any tools for assembly of the Sink Down Sectional?
No tools needed! The Sink Down Sectional units are equipped with metal alligator-style clips on the underside of each unit that allow you to easily and securely connect each unit to the next. If you’d like to change up the configuration of your sectional, simply lift the side one unit and disengage the clips to rearrange.
See our Assembly Instructions for more details!
Do the Sink Down Sectional fabrics contain any flame retardants or chemicals?
Our Sectional and Sofa fabrics are free of chemical flame retardants and are in full conformance with California Proposition 65. Similar to Patagonia’s Durable Water Repellent, we chose a shorter-chain C6 fluorocarbon-based treatment for our fabrics because it breaks down faster over time and is less harmful to the environment.
What is the weight limit of the Sink Down Sectional?
Each Sink Down Sectional unit, including the Ottoman, has a weight limit of 300 lbs.
Can the Sink Down Sectional stand up to my pets?
Yes! We chose our Sink Down Sectional fabrics for their superior stain and odor resistance. While some fabrics are treated to be stain resistant, they are not stain-proof — please be sure to follow our care instructions to best tackle any pet mishaps as soon as possible.
The best fabric choice for a pet-friendly Sink Down Sectional would be either the performance fabric or Crypton Cambric.
Can I add onto my Sink Down Sectional later?
Absolutely! In alignment with our emphasis on modularity, the Sink Down Sectional can be added on to at any time, regardless of when you made your initial purchase as long as the model is in production.
Will the Sink Down Sectional fabric fade in direct sunlight?
Like most fabric, the fabrics used on your Sectional may fade over time if placed in direct light. If you would like to avoid the natural fade of fabric, we recommend shielding it from direct sunlight.
